Subject: FW: Question
John,
This question came up during the kick-off party last Friday. Could you let
everyone know.
Thanks,
Alan
Judy,
The Alumni Association used to offer the first years membership at no
additional charge if the student gave up a $10 fee already paid to the
school. Is this still the case?
Thanks,
Alan
Hi Alan,
Yes that is correct.
A recent graduate may choose to turn over their property deposit to the
alumni association, which is approximately $10, sometimes less. The prop.
dep. pays for their first year alumni membership.
The reason the new grad does not experience any change of money is because
the property deposit was paid when they first enrolled. The property
deposit is a security deposit each student pays and the university holds
until graduation.
If there is no property deposit for a student, it may be due to an unpaid
administrative or parking fee. However, the new graduate/alumni can still
just pay $10 to the alumni office for their first year.
How are things going with the Chapter? Good to hear from you.
