Subject:        Check Cashing Charges

You recently may have received a notice from Chase Bank indicating that the
bank will begin charging a check cashing fee effective May 1, 2000.  Please
be advised that the check cashing fee does not apply to UTA employee payroll
checks. UTA has negotiated a contract with Chase Bank that exempts our
employees from the check cashing fee.

If you have been charged a check cashing fee by Chase Bank for a UTA payroll
check, please contact Chase Bank for a refund.  If you have any problems
obtaining a refund, please contact Payroll Services at ext. 5426.
