Zizek teaches at the European Graduate School each August. Your student
can study from him there, F2F for three weeks, while studying with Badiou,
Agamben, Hamacher, etc. This situation would be ideal if your former
student is pursuing a Masters degree.... Otherwise, if doctoral level,
then, have him try Thomas Rickert at Purdue U, in English. TR's recent
book, -Acts of Enjoyment: Rhetoric, Zizek, and the Return of the Subject-,
has won a major award as best book. The dept of Philosophy at Purdue is
extra good for the additional background.
