The troubling thing, for me, is that the theory (or ideology, as
Althusser would call it) that underlies and drives these policies is
very one-sided and blind to many things. Yet the more these policies
are in place, the more likely they create conditions for fewer faculty
to teach critiques of these policies and alternative theories and ways
of thinking.
