Deadline for International Week applications!  This Friday, Mar 14 is the 
deadline for student organizations to apply to participate in the many I-Week 
events, including the Soccer Tournament, Nationality/Cultural Exhibits, Food 
Fair, Fashion Show, School Visits or Global Extravaganza.  Visit the ISO

Donate your hair to a good cause, and get free hair styling! Locks of Love Wed 
Mar 12, 9-10am, Palo Duro, UC. We are having our 3rd Annual Locks of Love. If 
your hair is over 6 inches long and you would like to donate it, please come 
down to the lower UC to sign up. The stylists will cut and style your hair for 
you as long as you are willing to donate at least 6 inches of hair! The hair will 
then be donated to Locks of Love for them to help children who aren't able to 
grow their own hair due to medical diseases. For more information contact

your questions answered in one easy session! A Career Services staff member 
will be on hand to talk about what Career Services can do for you and help 
you learn how to use the online job-listing database to enhance your job

Career in the Spotlight: Forest Whitaker! Wed, Mar 12, 3:30, Rosebud 
Theatre,UC.  Interviewed by Professor Andy Anderson from Art and Art 
History, Forest Whitaker will be talking about his career as an actor, producer, 
director, writer and more. Exclusive event for UTA students, faculty, and staff. 
Free passes will be available to the UTA community with a MavID after 
February 18th at the University and Student Success Center - 241 Davis Hall 
on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please Note: Only one ticket will be issued 
per person. Tickets must be presented to enter the event.Will Call seating may 
be available on the day of the event after 3:15 pm on a first-come-first-serve

Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker discusses prejudice as part of 
the OneBook Conversations program. No ticket is required for admittance, but

The 43rd Annual Walter Prescott Webb Memorial Lectures All day, Thursday, 
Mar 13. Rio Grande Ballroom. The theme of this year's Webb lecture series 
is "The Culture of Jim Crow: Rethinking the Segregated South, 1880-1920." 
Lectures around this theme will take place at 9:30am, 11am, 1:30pm, 7:30pm.

Volunteer with us at the Arlington Life Shelter!  Thurs, Mar 13, 7-8:30pm. To 
volunteer, meet us in front of the Mav Express at 7:00 pm.  We will be doing 
an activity with the children during their free time.

Kite Flying at River Legacy Park Sat, Mar 15.  10am-2pm.  River Legacy Parks, 
701 Green Oaks Blvd. Come fly your kite! Hosted by the Parks and Recreation 
Department, this fun-filled activity includes stunt demonstrations, kite 
contests, bounce house, face painting, concessions and much more! Cost is

Six Flags Over Texas Spring Break Out  Mar 15- Mar 23. Join Six Flags Over 
Texas for the thrills, chills and spills and have some fun during this spring break 
event. The park will be open from 10 am – 8 pm each day. Visit
