Good afternoon,

Following are the upcoming events this week:

Thursday, September 9, 2004
Social Security Letter Issuance, 9am-12pm, Palo Duro Lounge, U.C.
All F-1 students who need social security letters should come to the Palo
Duro Lounge from 9am-12pm this day so that we may give you a letter to take
to Social Security. You will need your passport, I-94 and I-20 in order to
have the letter issued. Free shuttle service will be provided next week to
the Social Security Administration in Grand Prairie. Students who have
their own transportation are encouraged to go on their own to the SSA.

OPT Seminar, 2-3pm, San Saba, U.C.
Come to this OPT Seminar if you have any questions about what documents are
requried for Optional Practical Training, or if you have specific questions
about your situation.

Global Grounds International Coffee Hour, 4-5:30pm, Palo Duro Lounge, U.C.
Come and join us for the first Global Grounds of the fall semester! This
event will be co-sponsored by Student Health Services, and their staff will
be on site to answer questions you may have about the services their office
provides. Global Grounds features an assortment of teas, coffee, snacks and
music from around the world. It is free and open to the university
community.

Farewell
Finally, Ching Li, one of our international student advisors, is moving to
Indiana with her family. Ching has spent 3 years here at UTA advising
students, and will be missed greatly by students and staff alike. This is
her last week in the Office of International Education before she moves on
to new adventures. We'll miss you, Ching!

Have a great week!

Regards,
