Good morning!  Following are this week's upcoming events:

Monday, October 27th
OPT Seminar, 2-3pm, Red River, U.C.

Tuesday, October 28th
"Tuesday Talks" seminar, 3-4pm, Guadalupe, U.C.
Join Susan McKee, the Attorney for Students, in discussing Consumer
Protection Issues.  Susan will include the most common scams today, and what
you can do to protect yourself against them.

Friday, October 31st
9th Annual Halloween Party/Casino Night, 8pm-12am, Palo Duro Lounge, U.C.
Join us in this FREE event, featuring a costume contest, free prizes,
raffles and more!  Sponsored by Campus Recreation, Housing and University
Center, EX.C.E.L., the International Office and Intercollegiate Athletics.

Now searching for Peer Advisors for the Spring 2004 semester!
Have you always been interested in meeting people from all around the world?
Do you have a strong desire to help new students?  Would you like to be able
to share your experiences as a new student?  If so, please stop by the
International Office to pick up an application to become a Peer Advisor for
the Spring 2004 semester.  Applications will be available starting Tuesday,
October 28th, and the application deadline is November 28, 2003 at 5:00pm.
Interviews may be part of the process.

Searching for International/Multicultural Student Organizations interested
in participating in a Cultural Night for Lynn Hale Elementary School in
Arlington
Is Community Service or Leadership an important part of your group's
organization?  If so, then you may want to participate in Cultural Night at
Lynn Hale Elementary School.  On November 20, 2003 from 6:30-8:30, each
grade will be representing a culture via food, fashion and performance.  If
you would be interested in participating (which includes dancing, singing,
fashion, display of information/materials), please contact Julie Uzdavinis
