Upcoming events, week of September 15-19, 2003:

Monday, September 15th
OPT Seminar, 2-3pm, Red River, U.C.
Learn anything and everything you wanted to know about OPT, including who
qualifies, what it stands for, deadlines and more!

Tuesday, September 16th
"Tuesday Talks", 3-4pm, Guadalupe, U.C.
This is the first seminar in a series of five that will feature Susan McKee
from Campus Legal Services.  Susan will address the issue of owning a car in
Arlington, and your rights and responsibilities.  This is a great way to get
all your questions answered about cars, including insurance, inspection,
etc, so please be sure and attend!

Thursday, September 18th
Social Security Shuttle, 8:30am, North side of the U.C.
This is for those students who signed up for the shuttle on the 18th; please
be there by 8:30am with your passport, I-94 and the letter from the
International Office.  The shuttle will depart the U.C. at 8:30 and return
around 11:30am.

CPT Seminar, 2-3pm, Bluebonnet Ballroom South, U.C.
Learn about CPT!  Dr. McClellan will talk about upcoming deadlines, when you
must be employed, and general information for those students who are
thinking about CPT in upcoming semesters.

Friday, September 19th
Social Security Shuttle, 8:30am, North side of the U.C.
This is for those students who signed up for the shuttle on the 19th; please
be there by 8:30am with your passport, I-94 and the letter from the
International Office.  The shuttle will depart the U.C. at 8:30 and return
around 11:30am.


I would also like to extend a special "thank you" to those students who
attend this Fall's first Global Grounds International Coffee Hour.  About 60
students, faculty and staff stopped by for an assortment of snacks, chai,
coffee and music.  Please join us next time!
