Marketing Research Department
Associate Director- Marketing Research

As a senior member of the Marketing Research Department, the Associate
Director- Marketing Research will take a leadership role on primary research
projects for the Editorial, Advertising, Consumer Marketing and New Media
departments.
This will be accomplished by successfully guiding primary research through a
multi-step process that will encompass the following:
* Successfully guide primary research by meeting with internal customers to
understand and define research objectives
* Create an effective research design
* Write a survey questionnaire
* Work with and monitor an outside research company that will be responsible
for survey data collection and tabulation
* Develop a data analysis plan for the research supplier
* Analyze the data and prepare a presentation style report and making
skilled presentations of the results internally and, if applicable, to
outside advertisers

The successful candidate will possess:
* Extensive background in custom primary marketing research
* Good interpersonal and presentation skills
* Experience in the design and analysis of various types of primary research
studies for a variety of consumer product/service categories
* Must be proficient in writing survey questionnaires
* Working knowledge of SPSS statistical software and basic and multivariate
statistics
