Subject: Intel Positions and Internships

John:
This is to follow up on our telephone conversation from earlier today. This
email includes the job description for the positions we are trying to fill,
and a link to an online version of the Business Week article that describes
how Intel is evolving its businesses.
The job posting/description below will be posted to most of the major career
websites and will be advertised in the next issue of Quirk's Market Research
Review and Marketing news. Any of your students/alumni interested in a
position should send their resume by email, phone or fax to me using the
contact information below.
Interns will have similar responsibilities to Market Research Managers, but
will work under the supervision of an experienced Intel Market Research
Manager or CMR (Corporate Market Research) Functional Manager.
Please call me with any questions or needs for additional information.
Best regards,

Duncan Fallat

The job posting/description for the analyst positions we are trying to fill
is as follows:

Bring your ideas to the Intel table.

Ideas take flight at Intel, the world's largest chip maker: from leading the
way in microprocessor development to driving the Internet economy, our goal
is to ensure that these ideas keep getting better and better. You can help.
Our present and planned expansions into a variety of new consumer and
business products/services markets have created the following opportunities
for experienced primary market researchers to join our Corporate Market
Research Group.

Corporate Market Research
Responsibilities for all positions in our group include meeting with
internal customers to understand and prioritize information needs,
effectively working with an existing team of researchers, working with
research vendors to implement research, performing data analyses, and
presenting and disseminating results internally to influence business
decisions and outcomes.

Market research managers:
You will work closely with your Intel market research colleagues and
research vendors to design, implement, manage and analyze primary market
research. Critical skills include ability to meet with internal clients and
translate their strategic business questions/concerns into research projects
as appropriate, analyze qualitative and quantitative data sets, apply
results to business decision-making, manage multiple projects within a team
and individual work environment, and present research results effectively.

Market research scientists:
In addition to the above, these team members have critical skills that
include self-directed statistical or econometric analysis and the ability to
model complex market questions. Experience with SAS, SPSS, or other
statistical packages is required. MS/MBA degree preferred.

Previous experience in market research (vendor- or client-side) is required,
experience working in the technology industry is desirable. Permission to
work in the United States is also required.

Become a part of the Intel experience.
