Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a versatile piece of software to code extensive
amounts of qualitative data. Basically, what I'm looking to do is be
able to go through reams of notes and code specific blocks of text
according to a predefined coding frame, and then export the codes to
SPSS to analyze them quantitatively (once matched to other variables).

Software I've previously used, such as NUD*ST, tends to be more for
forming themes/theories based on notes, such as from focus groups, and
doesn't seem to be very handy for this kind of coding.

Has anyone does this recently, and have any software tips to share?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
