I'm not sure exactly what you need, but Dr. Eve is probably the most
knowledgable about websites.

I am trying to pass the Sociology EXCET and need help with some of the
objectives. Do you know who would be able to provide me with information on
on websites?

Greetings:
As we approach Graduation 2002, we ask that you suggest graduating students
to explore career options by visiting the Texas Dept of Protective and
Regulatory Services VIRTUAL CAREER FAIR at the following internet hyperlink,
<<http://www.tdprs.state.tx.us/PRS_Jobs/Virtual_Career_Fair/>>.
TDPRS and the State of Texas appreciates college graduates interest and
subsequent application consideration among our many career opportunities. A
range of many different employment opportunity offerings are available with
TDPRS with over 275 offices statewide. State of Texas employment offers a
family-friendly environment, 40 hour work week, excellent benefits, and job
stability!
Job leads are attached for graduates to review for application
consideration. Here are some suggested application strategies to strengthen
and create more competitive application(s). Resumes may be attached to the
required State of Texas application as a supplement. Custom tailoring each
submission will greatly increase your chances of being allowed to compete
for positions.

Save the electronic state application attached to your C-drive. Complete the
application in your word processing program. Be sure to complete all fields
and check all required boxes. Copy and paste the job description detail
information and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION detail from the job posting into each
of the state application's employment summary boxes. REVISE & EDIT the
verbiage to ACCURATELY REFLECT YOUR WORK EXPERIENCES. Fill in the balance of
the employment summary boxes with copied and pasted current/former work
experience detail from your resume. Revise the verbiage as needed to
ACCURATELY reflect your current & former work experiences.
Furnish complete dates; for example: started job - 02/15/86 left job -
03/01/99. Include all current and former pertinent areas of study,
internships, and volunteer work which are similar to that which is detailed
in the job description of the posting. Internship & volunteer experiences
ARE used to calculate the work experience minimum qualification. Use more
than one "Job Description" box as necessary with the electronic version of
the State of Texas application. Take as much space as needed; this is not
the time nor place for brevity.
Expand in the fields devoted to computer skills & knowledge. Include [1] a
word processing program, [2] a spreadsheet program, [3] a database program,
and [4] internet navigation skills on the second page of the State of Texas
employment application along with any office machines and computer programs
in which you can demonstrate proficiency. Naturally, the more information
provided in this key area, the better.
Candidates may expedite application processing by e-mailing the completed
State of Texas application (as an attachment) to:
<[log in to unmask]>
Please be advised that it takes approximately 45 days from the date of the
receipt of the State of Texas applications before agencies invite candidates
in for interviews. Thank you in advance for sharing this correspondence with
your associates.
