Dear Friends / Colleagues / Etc.

As many of you know, I'm in the midst of the lengthy process of sorting out my spouse's estate, which includes a library of some 15,000-20,000 books (not to mention the journals, which is another topic for another day). While I will undoubtedly keep some of them for myself, there are many that either (1) are duplicates of books I already owned when we married; (2) were multiple copies that he himself owned; and/or (3) are in a language for which I don't have enough fluency to make use of the resource.

Thus, I'm making these available a few at a time as I make my way through the library at home and move several thousand volumes home from his office at SMU as well. Because of the terms of his will, I can't give these away, but I've tried to price them at a tempting level (I consulted two different used-book websites, made note of the lowest asking price and the median, and then used some legerdemain to arrive at a price that seemed reasonable).

The attached spreadsheet has approximately the first 200 books [authors A-K] that I've finished "processing"; the rest of this first batch [L-Z] should be available within the next week or so. Where there are multiple entries for a particular book, it means that I have multiple copies available. I'll update the spreadsheet (and re-send) regularly as titles are added and as they disappear. (At least, I hope they will start to disappear.)

Please feel free to forward the list to anyone that might have interest in what's here. I can be tracked down at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> if there are questions or if you'd like to stake a claim to anything here.
