Welcome to SOCI-L, the listserv for students, faculty and staff who are
interested in sociology at UTA. We will try to keep you informed about
courses, organizations, meetings, and lectures, both on and off campus.

A couple of points about how a listserv works are probably worth reminding
you of here. First, addressing a message to the Listserv (at
[log in to unmask]) sends the message to everyone on the list. This
also happens to be true if you reply to a message received from the
Listserv; so if you want to reply only to the person who sent out the
message on the Listserv, you have to e-mail that person at his/her unique
e-mail address. Simply hitting the "reply" button will send your reply to
everyone.

Also, the listserv is ONLY to be used for sociology-related messages that
follow common sense norms of courtesy and decorum. Those who use it
inappropriately -- for "flames," obscenities, or irrelevant messages -- are
subject to removal from the list.

Finally, if your e-mail address changes and you wish to remain on the list,
please notify Jane Nicol ([log in to unmask]) of the change.
