Upcoming Training Opportunities

The Office of Human Resources Benefits Department will be conducting employee meetings to provide faculty and staff an overview of all the insurance options available for the 2006-2007 benefit year. Representatives from the insurance companies will also be available to answer any questions you may have. Two types of meetings will be held: 1) General Enrollment Meetings: Thursday, July 6 and Tuesday July 25, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Activities Bldg., Lonestar Auditorium; and 2) HMO Blue and UT Select PPO Meetings: Wednesday, July 12, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and Monday, July 24, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Nedderman Hall – Room 105. This course teaches seven distinct habits that lead to effectiveness. These habits apply at all four levels of leadership (personal, interpersonal, managerial, and organizational.) An "inside-out" improvement approach will be taught that first builds on personal trustworthiness, then creates trust on an interpersonal level to improve relationships on the job. FE-CPRAEDH - AED/CPR Heartsaver Course

The Heartsaver AED Course teaches the basic techniques of adult CPR and how to use an AED. Students also learn about using barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking. The course teaches how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction.
