Effective Conflict and Confrontation Resolution

 If your first response to conflict and confrontation is fight or flight, then you are responding naturally. However, there is another solution that comes through knowledge and education. Come learn how do deal effectively with conflict and discover new ways to make every conflict a learning experience.

Microsoft Word II
 
Take your word processing documents to the next level. Participants will learn about Word templates; how to work with graphics by inserting and modifying pictures; how to insert watermarks and Word Art; and how to work with tables and columns.

When: Tuesday August 7th, 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Where: Continuing Education & Workforce Development Center Room E200C
Who: Office of Information Technology Trainer

Additional training will be provided on basic techniques for managing a large document: inserting page numbers, inserting headers/footers, and creating a table of contents.

The skills you learn here could save a life. Participants will receive CPR certification card.

Microsoft Publisher
 
This course offers the basic skills needed to use Microsoft Publisher.
  Participants will learn to create brochures, flyers and newsletters.  Students will learn to customize templates to personalize the output.

This course is a basic introduction to telephone etiquette and customer service skills.  Learn to develop and utilize listening and speaking skills for better communication between the customer and yourself.  Discover what to do and say when a phone call becomes difficult.
