Putting the Power back in PowerPoint

We’ve seen plenty of bad PowerPoint presentations. Meetings that drag on and on as a disconnected speaker faces the screen, reading bulleted lists that are illegible, incoherent, and irrelevant.  We’re to the point where we dread entering the room and seeing a projector and screen.  But PowerPoint doesn’t kill presentations.  People do!

We will discuss how to make PowerPoint work for you—like it’s supposed to—rather than working against you.  We’ll talk about when to use it, how to use it, the best ways to use it, and what to expect when you use it.  And we’ll see plenty of examples of what’s good, bad, and…just plain ugly.

What: Putting the Power Back in PowerPoint
When: Friday, April 18th, 10:00 am– 11:00 am
Where: Central Library Parlor – 6th Floor
Who: Danny Woodward

Light refreshments will be served. To register, contact Nadine Douditski by phone at 2-0102 or by e-mail at [log in to unmask]
