Subject: Invitation to Binational Conference on Immigration at UTA
Dear all,
On behalf of the Center for Mexican American Studies (CMAS)
at UTA and the Centro de Estudios sobre Migraciones y Racismo (CEMIRA) at the
Universidad Complutense in Madrid, I invite you to attend the Binational Conference
on Immigration Trends and Immigrant Rights Movements in the United States and
Spain, to be held at UTA September 8 through September 10, 2008. This
conference will bring together U.S. and Spanish scholars for a series of
presentations and discussions focusing on contemporary immigration trends in
both countries and on the growing presence of immigrant rights organizations in
both countries. We look forward to a fascinating dialogue between U.S.
and Spanish scholars and activists addressing these themes from diverse
disciplines and methods.

times and locations, and the presenters and talks that will be part of the
