Hello, wonderful students!  Women’s Studies sponsors the Expanding Your Horizons program every fall and it’s coming up on November 8 this year.  The program is to encourage girls in grades 6-8 to pursue careers in math and science.  Professional women hold workshops for groups of girls and UTA students volunteer to help us.  I personally need about 6 volunteers to help me teach the girls how to make a facial reconstruction with clay on skull models.  Previous experience in forensic art is not required because I’ll show you what to do when the time comes.

Other volunteers are needed, as well.  If you’d like to participate, please call Adriana or Arlene in the Women’s Studies office at 817.272.3131 and/or come by our office (Room 223UH) and get your names put on the "sign-up" list that would be great.  Please make sure that you indicate on the list that you will be assisting me, if that’s what you’d like to do.  In addition to a great experience and undying gratitude, you’ll get a T-shirt and a letter of thanks.
