Hello all, I have a good friend, Mr. Ken Durand, who runs the C C Young “continuum of care” retirement community just east of downtown Dallas. See: http://www.ccyoung.org/home.asp C C Young is a nationally recognized leader in providing care for aging and aged persons. Ken tells me that they have a serious need for people willing to lead classes for their resident population. (Some of the neighborhood aged persons also attend). These are not for credit courses, so most any smart college student could probably teach some of these courses. If you’d like to volunteer to get some good experience onto your resume, this would be a good opportunity. At the same time you’d be performing a vital service for some of our most respected elders of the community. If you think this volunteer opportunity is for you, I urge you to get in touch with Ken Durand directly for more information. Information for how to do so can be found on the website above. (But you might send me a one-liner to let me know of your interest just so I’ll know of your initiative). Thanks. -- Raymond A. Eve, Ph. D.
