RetireWise-Module 3: Establishing Your Retirement Income Stream

You will learn how to structure a retirement income stream. You will identify those risks that may threaten the retirement income stream. Topics include Identifying Sources of Retirement Income, Ordering Your Income Stream and Creating Your Retirement Budget

Learn powerful tools for assertiveness to help you deal with conflict at all levels in the organization and discover techniques on how to be an assertive communicator.

You will also explore the differences between being passive, aggressive and assertive. In addition, you will assess your areas of strength and growth in this critical skill.

RetireWise-Module 4: Making the Most of What You Have 

You will review your employer’s specific retiree benefits and other benefits to help you understand how they fit in your own planning process. You will also be given resources to help you consider how to have a satisfying and meaningful retirement. Topics include Wills, Living Trusts, Health Care Proxies and Estate Planning.

The skills you learn here could save a life. Participants will receive CPR certification card.

Welcoming Diversity (8) 

This workshop is an experiential, interactive program designed to promote awareness and increased sensitivity to the many similarities and differences among individuals and groups in our society.  Done in an upbeat, hopeful tone, the program focuses on developing self-pride, examining stereotypes, and learning skills in responding to prejudicial jokes, remarks, and slurs. Participants will also discover how to be more attentive to diversity and racism in the workplace and community.

Public speaking may not be the most exciting activity for you, but you can learn the tips and techniques to make your next presentation a great success. Participants will learn how to develop and enhance their public speaking style and create compelling presentations.

This presentation will discuss the health risks and hazards associated with smoking, along with tips to quit, and useful resources to help you maintain a healthy, smoke-free life.  Presented by Donielle Smith Health Promotions and Substance Educator at the University of Texas at Arlington.
