Summary:
A
Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for developing insights used to
guide strategic direction for customer and product applications
consistent with established volume and financial goals for the national
account and broader foodservice division. Management of Consumer Insight
resources: - Proprietary Tyson data sources, sometimes working in
conjunction with varied Tyson departments - Secondary, purchased data
sources - Primary marketing research projects aimed at providing consumer
insights - Translating consumer insights into actionable strategies and
initiatives as part of business and marketing plans. - Insight driven, new
product initiatives Strategic analysis: - Integrate consumer and market
insights throughout business and marketing plans for Tyson Foodservice
customers and division - Collaborate with customer development managers
and brand marketing managers to determine appropriate insights support on
customer projects - Analyze consumer, customer and competitive landscape
for application to proactive new product development and customer
strategy - Provide insight based innovation recommendations for
foodservice product development Financial Management and Corporate
Reporting: - Responsible to manage key consumer insights to marketing
teams throughout Tyson - Responsible for monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc
reporting to management on key consumer insights - Representation of
foodservice consumer perspective on varied corporate initiative teams -
Develop and manage budgets directly related to trade funds, travel and
entertainment, and other business related expenditures, as assigned.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. MBA preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of consumer research experience required. 7+ years in food
service and/or marketing agency experience preferred. Retail channel or
category management experience a plus.
Computer
Skills: Basic Microsoft Office Suite (applications = Word, Excel,
PowerPoint).
Travel:
12 or more domestic trips per year.
Special
Skills: Restaurant marketing and strategic planning experience is a plus.
Supervisory
Responsibilities: This position may be responsible for supervising a
person or small group of persons in the same department who perform(s)
similar and/or interrelated tasks.
