Come join in our fight against tobacco addiction! Learn how to recognize the clever methods of tobacco industries; and understand addiction and how to cope with withdrawal. Know that there is help for you or a loved one and learn how to get a "Fresh Start" on life!

Welcoming Diversity (8)
This workshop is an experiential, interactive program designed to promote awareness and increased sensitivity to the many similarities and differences among individuals and groups in our society.  Done in an upbeat, hopeful tone, the program focuses on developing self-pride, examining stereotypes, and learning skills in responding to prejudicial jokes, remarks, and slurs. Participants will also discover how to be more attentive to diversity and racism in the workplace and community.

Fresh Start from Tobacco-Session 2
The Fresh Start From Tobacco program consists of a series of four seminar series designed to educate and assist individuals who are ready to make a fresh start from tobacco use. These seminars will cover steps to understanding addiction, quitting and coping strategies, and receiving help. It is important to attend all four sessions.

When: Thursday, January 28th, 2010, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: Wetsel Service Center, Room 200
Who: Nekima Booker, University Health Services
In addition, all participants are eligible for a limited supply of nicotine replacement therapy patches and gum.
