Writing Effective E-Mails (AP) 

E-mail has become an essential communication tool for most individuals and organizations. It is vitally important that you identify and learn all of the basics of e-mail communication as well as all of the dangers of e-mail communication. 

What: Writing Effective E-mails
When: Tuesday, April 13th, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

In this course, participants will learn the keys to effective e-mails as well as proper cyber manners and how to avoid e-mail overload.

Food for Thought: Organics-Is it healthier? Is It worth it? 

Come and learn the truth about organic food and organic products.  We will discuss the facts and provide everything you need to know about this controversial topic.

Where: Maverick Activity Center 101B 
Who: Brie Woods – Registered Dietitian who is now working with the MAC providing nutrition consultations and counseling on various topics including weight management and sports nutrition. 

Bring your sack lunch and a notepad.

Professional Telephone Techniques (8) 

This course is a basic introduction to telephone etiquette and customer service skills.  Learn to develop and utilize listening and speaking skills for better communication between the customer and yourself.  Discover what to do and say when a phone call becomes difficult.

Controversial Issues Workshop 

Interested in essential skills related to dealing with tough interpersonal and intergroup conflicts. This incredible class demonstrates a method for assisting diverse groups to work together even in tough, emotionally charged conflicts.
