Food for Thought: Finding and Maintaining the Motivation to Exercise 

Do you have a hard time finding a reason to exercise? Are you waiting for the right day or time to start?  Is your motivation waning or lacking?  Don’t let the answers to these questions keep you from achieving your health and fitness goals. Come learn techniques to motivate yourself to exercise and start living the healthy lifestyle that you deserve.  No more excuses.  The time to start is now! 

What: Finding and Maintaining the Motivation to Exercise

Where: Maverick Activity Center 101B 
Who: Lindsay Lookingbill – B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, is a Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer, and an AFAA certified Group Exercise Instructor.  She has over 6 years experience in the health and fitness field and currently works as the Membership Services Coordinator for the Department of Campus Recreation at the MAC. 

Bring your sack lunch and a notepad.

Learning To Take Risks (AP) 

Stepping outside the box and exposing yourself to ridicule and criticism is never easy. However, there are times, in order to get your goals and vision accomplished, you must take a risk. This training class is designed to help you understand the art of risk taking and explore the concepts of weighing your risk before you take it.

What: Learning To Take Risks
When: Thursday, May 6th, 2010, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Where: Wetsel Service Center, Room 200
Who: Jake Allen 

Participants will leave with a greater understanding of when, where, and how to take a risk.
