Writing and Proofreading (AP)
Everything you write by hand or produce on a computer is a
reflection of who you are as a professional. Taking the time to communicate
effectively in writing is a key to your workplace success.

In this course, you will learn basic and next

more than "spell check" to produce quality letters or reports. This
course is designed to identify the skills needed to create and produce
documents with accuracy and without error. The techniques of this course will
help you learn to handle projects as simple as a quick e-mail and as difficult
as detailed technical reports.

whether to fight the fire or escape. It is important that you know how to
operate the fire extinguisher before you attempt to fight a fire. Come to this
hands-on course and learn how to use a fire extinguisher to safely put out a
small fire when appropriate

Fresh Start from Tobacco
The University of Texas
at Arlington will begin offering free tobacco cessation education classes for
all students, faculty and staff to support its Tobacco Free Campus initiatives
starting in 2011. The Fresh Start From Tobacco program consists of a series of
four seminar series designed to educate and assist individuals who are ready to
make a fresh start from tobacco use. Facilitated by UT Arlington Health Services,
these four, one hour educational sessions will address tobacco addiction and
cessation topics. These seminars will cover steps to understanding addiction,
quitting and coping strategies, and receiving help. It is important to attend
all four sessions.
