As president from 2004 to 2013, James Spaniolo oversaw a period of tremendous progress at UT Arlington. He boosted the University's profile, enhanced educational excellence, and forged strategic public and private partnerships. He was instrumental in advancing academic programs, attracting world-class faculty, creating a vibrant residential campus, and bringing state-of-the-art facilities. Perhaps the most visible evidence of his impact is the development of the College Park District, a 20-acre mixed-use community anchored by College Park Center.
