The Managing Department Funds class is designed for employees responsible for managing and viewing accounting details. In this class, participants will be provided with an understanding of the chart of accounts, how to view available balances, and how to view account activity in commitment control. It will provide an understanding of the SOA and the responsibilities of the department. In this class, participants will learn how to generate the SOA, how to read the report, and understand the information provided in the financial statement. In addition, we will discuss the required support documentation and the necessary approvals for the SOA.
