The College of Liberal Arts is seeking nominations for the following two awards:

College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Accolade Endowment Award

Outstanding Graduate Advisor Award

 

Nominations may come from students, supervisors, peers, staff, or self.   Each nominator should write a paragraph that supports the nomination; no anonymous nominations will be accepted.   Please do not send more than one typed page of nomination material, total.   All nominations will be vetted by an ad-hoc committee consisting of a past Outstanding Graduate Advisor Award recipient, a staff member from Graduate Services Office, and Assistant Deans Bolsterli and RidingIn.

 

Submit all nominations and supporting documents using your maverick email account to Ms. Ami Keller at [log in to unmask]

 

Nominations are due no later than 5pm on Friday, May 13, 2016. 

 

College of Liberal Arts Dean’s Accolade Endowment Award

This award recognizes one faculty member whose research and teaching has inspired a student (or students) to create work of exceptional merit that goes beyond ordinary class expectations.  Examples include creative, community or research projects resulting from the teaching of the nominated faculty member.  This award is open to any full-time faculty member (tenured, non-tenured, instructor, lecturer, professor in practice).  Please also indicate the name/s of the student/s who benefited from the faculty member’s mentorship.  

Outstanding Graduate Advisor Award

This award honors one College of Liberal Arts Graduate Faculty Advisor (Ph.D. or masters level) who has demonstrated exemplary service and dedication to graduate student success.  Please note that this award is for graduate advising, not thesis or dissertation advising.
