There will be an information session for UTA's summer archaeological fieldschool next Monday, 6 Mar. at Noon in University Hall Room 09. Please distribute this information and attached flyer to your students, and encourage them to attend the info session with any questions they may have.

The fieldschool will take place on Way Ranch in San Marcos, Texas - we'll do both archaeological survey and excavation, and students will receive training in all aspects of fieldwork and laboratory analysis, including hands-on experience with portable x-ray florescence (PXRF) technology.

The cost per student will be 3 hours tuition + a $1000.00 course fee which includes all necessary archaeological equipment and food. Students will be cooking/showering/bathing indoors but will need bring their own tents and sleeping gear.
