Students who have applied for Post-completion OPT based on May completion:

   • Do not begin to work until you actually have received your employment authorization document from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and only from the authorized date forward. Also if you had previous on campus employment, that must have ended by 05/11/2018  (the spring semester end date).

Students whose last term is summer

• Remember that you cannot be enrolled in an on-line course only. Also, please remember to submit a full-time waiver unless you are able to enroll full-time during the summer. The waiver forms can be found here: https://www.uta.edu/oie/web/iss/forms/lcfw.pdf

Students with required summer enrollment

• If summer is a required term for you, for example you have a new I-20 with summer start date as you have applied for a change of educational level, please remember that you must enroll full-time during the summer in order to maintain your F-1 Status.
