In this issue of the Global Engagement Digest, we feature one of OIE’S biggest events of the year: International Education Week (IEW). Don't miss it! IEW is an opportunity to celebrate and share the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. To celebrate, we have prepared a week-long series of fun and informative events from October 29th – November 3rd. IEW:
Cultural Kick-Off Dance
Join us for the start of IEW at this kick-off event. Cultural student orgs featuring: Asian Student Association, Korean Culture Association, Arabic Language & Culture Organization, and Indian Cultural Council will be performing live at the UC Mall!
Study Abroad and Peace Corps
Yes, international students can study abroad! Come out for lunch and learn how YOU can experience the world by hearing stories from Peace Corps alumna, Jamie Salabogi and Study Abroad alumni. Study abroad scholarship and funding information will also be provided.
International Food Fair
The UC Mall will be transformed into a world café. Stop by to give your taste buds a treat with food from across the globe, and try out fun, engaging cultural activities.
Global Engagement & 21st Century Leadership
This Maverick Advantage session led by Global Engagement Director, Adam Sichta will increase your global awareness and intercultural skills as you discover how cultural diversity is changing Texas, the U.S. and the world. Food and drinks are provided including: ham and cheese platters as well as vegetarian options.
Global Grounds
Experience the music and lively traditions of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Come with old friends and make some new ones. As always, free coffee, tea and snacks are provided!

Looking for employment in DFW? Come and meet representatives from Fortune 500 and DFW companies this week at the TOP DFW Companies Panel. It will be a wonderful opportunity to network, and learn how to improve your resume skills.
