Dear Board and Alumni,

There are a few volunteer opportunities coming up.  We need as many volunteers as we can get to help our students in the following ways:

1. Resume Reviews
   • Will you review a resume and provide feedback for a student?  Students tend to have light resumes, they tend to focus on tasks they've done, and they struggle to translate those tasks into skills that would fit new opportunities.  Could you help a student improve his/her communication of skills and value?  Could you do it for more than one?  If so, we could use your help.
   • Reviews will begin November 9th and run through early December.
     
2. In-Person Mock Interviews
   • Do you live in the DFW area?  Are you willing to meet with a student in-person to conduct an interview?  Could you help a student understand how to handle expected and unexpected questions?  Could you help a student learn the things NOT to do in an interview?  If so, we could use your help.
   • Interviews will be scheduled according to volunteers' schedules between mid-November and mid-December.
     
3. Phone / Skype Mock Interviews
   • Do you live outside the DFW area?  Or, do you live in the DFW area but you might as well not live in this area?  Could you help a student with interview skills for remote interviews?  Could you guide a student on how to handle questions with no visual cues?  What about being professional, but comfortable, on camera?  If so, we could use your help.
   • Interviews will be scheduled according to volunteers' schedules between mid-November and mid-December.
