Hello,

We are fortunate to have *two* exciting events on the environmental humanities

here at UTA in February. I would really appreciate it if you would be so kind as to forward

this email invitation to your departmental listservs and invite faculty,

graduate students and undergraduate students as appropriate. Thank you!

-----------

You are invited to join the Posthumanities Research Group at UTA, for “Radical Cultures: Lively Vegetation in Literary Studies: A Symposium,” featuring a talk by Vin Nardizzi. Dr. Nardizzi will present, “In Gloucester’s Footsteps: Vegetality and Disability in King Lear.”

His presentation will be followed by a roundtable discussion, featuring: Jaqueline Fay, “Weeds and Wheat,” Jason Hogue, Shakespeare’s Thorns,” Neill Matheson, “Thoreau’s Apples,” and Jeffrey Marchand, “Sown Seeds.”

After the talk we will convene for an informal happy hour nearby.
