The best faculty is also a diverse faculty that offers our students the educational experiences congruent with our Principles of Community and Strategic Plan 2020.
Upon completing this training, each search committee member will:
- Become more knowledgeable in creating “inclusive” faculty search procedures and environment.
- Challenge search committee members’ perceptions and biases about “diversification” of faculty.
- Understand the new guidelines that have been put in place and the effect on searches.
- Identify candidates that demonstrate a commitment to diversity and equity in education through their scholarship, teaching, and/or service.
