As our mission statement says "The Sociology Student Association believes incoming together to promote the future of sociology, inclusiveness, community, and social justice through the pursuit of knowledge, advocacy, and actions. The SSA is open to all thoughtful and committed students who wish to come and make a difference in our school and community." In the past, we have strived to benefit our community, through events like our annual can food drive, "Scare Away Hunger", we have worked to expand our knowledge through events like our town hall on climate change, to build our member's resumes, but also we spend time together.

We hope that you can join us because we believe that now more than ever building a community for support and entertainment is important and we hope to bring as many people and ideas into our SSA community as possible. Whether it is in the form of SSA or not, I hope everyone is able to find a community that means as much to them as SSA has meant to me.
