Join the Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) and representatives from eShipGlobal to learn about federal regulations pertaining
to shipments made outside of the U.S. from the University and receive instruction on how to use UT Arlington’s online shipping service eShipGlobal.
Any tangible item sent outside of the U.S. is considered an export. Some high-technology items or materials (and sometimes other less assuming goods) are export-controlled depending
on their classification and their intended destination. eShipGlobal’s built-in compliance checks will automatically identify and flag any export compliance issues and/or dangerous goods/HAZMAT concerns which require approval from ORS and/or Environmental Health
and Services. This automated screening process helps the University maintain compliance with federal regulatory requirements and generate/maintain required shipping documentation. An added benefit of eShipGlobal is discounted pricing available from FedEx,
UPS, Lone Star Overnight, and DHL (international only), as well as 100% HUB credit. From eShipGlobal's site, shippers can choose the preferred carrier and service, print shipping labels, and track packages in transit. Payments are made utilizing a University
ProCard.
This training will be on October 25th at 1 pm. It is intended for any individual who may handle international shipments, including researchers, administrative staff, graduate
students, etc. All are welcome! Please pass this along to anyone who may benefit, as this session will provide shippers with step-by-step instructions for setting up an international shipment in eShipGlobal. Please RSVP/register so that you will be added
