Workshops Series: Developing and Presenting Research



Develop your presentation skills with four workshops on conducting research hosted by the UTA Advising Association. Learn about research protocols, hypotheses, research methods, and how to present your findings at a conference break-out session.



The workshops will be at noon Wednesdays in Room 108 of University Hall. They are:



*        Oct. 16 -- Develop a Research Question and Begin a Proposal. Guest Speaker: John Dillard, Information specialist with the UTA Library



*        Oct. 23 -- Doing a Literature Review; Submit a Research Protocol. Guest Speaker: Robin Dickey, Regulatory Services Specialist with the Office of Research Administration



*        Nov. 6 -- Research Methods; Develop a Survey or Questionnaire. Guest Speaker: Bob Kunovich, Associate Professor of Sociology



*        Nov. 20 -- Writing Your Conclusion, Submitting Your Proposal to UTAAA



Participants who pursue research on academic life may submit a proposal for UTAAA's Conference on Feb. 18, 2014. Deadline for proposals is Monday, Dec. 9.
