Joe Feagin, the Ella C. McFadden Professor of Liberal Arts at Texas A & M University and the 91st President of ASA, will be in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology Monday, February 8. He is giving a talk entitled "Becoming and Being a Sociologist in a Troubled Democracy" from 2:30-4:00 in University Hall, Room 432.

Professor Feagin will be discussing recent research as well as providing practical advice to students on how to build a career in sociology. This will be an excellent opportunity for our undergraduate and graduate students to meet informally with a well-respected scholar. I strongly encourage you to attend.

Bob Kunovich
Associate Professor of Sociology
Sociology Graduate Advisor
