Subject: Center for Theory Meeting

Dear Colleagues,

Hope everyone is settling into the semester. I'd like to have a Center for Theory meeting to solicit input from the theory community at UTA about possible directions for the Center. Some ideas I have involve expanding the colloquium series, bringing in a guest speaker, and beginning research initiatives. To make these ideas successful, I want to receive feedback from everyone interested. The meeting will be on Monday October 3 at noon in University Hall 430 and we will have food.

Also, I am looking to create a solid executive committee that includes a couple graduate students. If you are interested in serving, or know others who would like to serve (especially graduate students), please email me.

Please circulate this email to your departments and graduate students since there are a lot of new faculty and new students at UTA since the last time the Center was active. I look forward to seeing you there.

Kind regards,
David
