MavLife: Livin’ Like A Maverick-Discovering Your Type
Using a personality assessment tool, participants will explore their
preferences for behaviors in four dimensions and how those preferences
effect actions at work. The type functions will be described and
discussion and activities will ensue to explore how type can be used
in building a well-rounded team.

Welcoming Diversity (8)
This workshop is an experiential, interactive program designed to
promote awareness and increased sensitivity to the many similarities
and differences among individuals and groups in our society. Done in
an upbeat, hopeful tone, the program focuses on developing self-pride,
examining stereotypes, and learning skills in responding to
prejudicial jokes, remarks, and slurs. Participants will also discover
how to be more attentive to diversity and racism in the workplace and
community.

Real Talk/Real Issues: Disability Etiquette 101: Why is Disability
Part of our Diversity Today?
Viewing people with disabilities as a specific cultural group within a
diverse society is a new development in today’s society. This session
will explore historical disability references and current trends that
support the idea of disability as part of our diversity and how we can
use “disability etiquette” to help us be inclusive at UT Arlington!
